    Strange Update Manager Problem

I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 for about a year now and today when I opened Update Manager it told me I had 16 updates to install. I clicked on Install, it asked me for my password and started to download the updates. I then got a popup telling me the following:

    CD/DVD Kubuntu 12.10_Quantal Quetzal _ Release i386 (20121017.1)' is required.

Please inset the above CD?DVD into the drive '/media/cdrom/' to install software packages from it.

I don't have a Kubuntu CD or DVD, I have never installed or used Kubuntu but now I can't get any of my Ubuntu updates. How can I get rid of these unwanted and unneeded updates?

    Help!
