Cannot install realtek HD audio driver

    [Lubuntu Noob here]
I recently got lubuntu a few days ago and updated my GPU drivers and now I wanted to do the same with my audio but I seem to be having an error. I searched this forums for similar threads couldn't find any. Screenshot provided

    Help would be appreciated

You're trying to build drivers from source, apparently.

The readme text file generally contains step-by-step instructions for doing this, and doing a "./configure" is often the first step.

Also, to build stuff from source, you need to have already installed build-essential using "sudo apt-get install build-essential"

And, even though you're "irked", please do NOT bump every few hours -- it's rude. The rule around here is no more often that once every 24 hours.
Ubuntu 16.10 Mate, Mint 18 Mate; MS Win 8.1, MS Win10 Pro.
Will not respond to PM requests for support -- use the forums.
