    Anyone use 1DollarScan

    Hello fellow *nix users:

I recently read an article on Wired or Arstechnica (cannot remember which) about a new service called 1DollarScan. You send in books or other documents to them and they will create high quality, OCR pdfs for you. They use destructive mehods for books (cut the bindin off with a paper guillitine) and then scan them. I think ifyou request that the save the book they will send it to you, otherwise the recycle it.

I really want to use it, especially for some documents, because it sounds pretty cheap and would be great. Has anyone here ever heard of the service and/or used it? I know that by the first sale doctraine and fair use it should be 100% legal for them to offer the service.

For anyone who cares, I will be sending a package of two books soon, and if that works out many documents. I will post my experience.
