    slllllooooooowwwwwww

i have been using 12.10 unti the upgrade option to 13.04. well all went ok for the first few days until a week or so ago when my box went so slow it made a snail look like Formula1! trying to move 4gig of data from hdd to ext drive took 2 days instaed of a few minutes like it should. unfortunatly i still gave about 120 gid to move accross, no man knows how long that will take! i will be reinstalling 12.10 or even another distro for that matter if 13.04 continues to be as troublesome as it is.
    box details as such:
    MOBO: asus M5A97
    CPU: bulldozer 3.6 quad core
    16 gig ddr3 Ram @ 1333mhz
    GPU: radion 5500 HD series
any idead why 13.04 is as slow as it is.
    thanks

Were you trying to copy a file bigger than 4GB to a FAT32 ext. drive?
That won't work, you would need to format the ext. drive to NTFS or ext4.

Edit: max file size for FAT32 is 4GB minus 1 Byte.
