Why BUY anything, you can get an Ubuntu version for a touch screen(I guess that's why you want Windows 8) for FREE. I don't know why folks keep throwing money at Bill Gates for his junky Op System when we have so many great Linux based Op Systems free for the using? Sure, this time around Windows 8 is only $69 bucks but if you're like me and don't have the money then even $10 would be too much.
    Check out this Op System:
Sure, it's a bit heavy at 1.6GB but it has a very nice Cronky installed so you can keep up with system specs and has a great look and feel(felt a lot like OS X to me) and it's Ubuntu based so it'll be stable.
I'd just do a clean install of PinguyOS and be happy or heck, even Ubuntu 12.04LTS is a great Op System, no need to look further IMHO. I've checked out a few different Op Systems since I've learned how to make a "Live" USB version of em' and for my needs Ubuntu 12.04 works perfectly but I am keeping an eye on PinguyOS, it looks pretty dang cool as well.

Why buy anything? ... 'cause sometimes the thing you want isn't free. Yes win8 has some issues, but sometimes its the best option for people, especially in a user environment that includes people that have no idea what a terminal is, let alone the desire to use one.
