What can I do to publish new version of application into ubuntu's repos

My case is like that: ubuntu's repos has krusader 2.4.0-beta1. Unfortunatly it has very annoying bug (http://askubuntu.com/questions/22202...-into-archives). Bug was fixed in 2.4.0-beta3 (~2012-10-25). What can I do to import 2.4.0-beta3 in ubuntu's repos so everyone can use the better krusader version. How can I help?

I know that maybe I can import some dev ppa channel which will provide some more up to date version of krusader but I feel that this is not the good way. The good way is to pay my technical debt to Ubuntu and put some time to import new Krusader version into Ubuntu's so all Ubuntu Souls will be happy. It's very astonishing that such old bug (~2012-10-25) is still here in 13.04. Nobody else uses Krusader or what?

Maybe I can request for such operation but maybe I can help more, like testing compiling etc etc?

The bug has already been submitted through the proper channels. It will probably/hopefully be fixed for 13.10 thanks to users like you. In the meantime you can install the newer Krusader with one click: https://launchpad.net/~ladislav.boni...orts/+packages
