    when i first turn on my desktop and open Firefox it opens Google as the home page no problem. i can surf the internet for about approx one minute then it tells me Firefox cant find server at start.ubuntu.com and stays that way until i turn of completely and turn back on. then same thing.

    I think it's possible but doubtful. How do other devices associated with the same router perform? Perfectly or do they also slow to a crawl?

    Do you have a friend or neighbor you can test with? Does your wireless slow down there, too?

    You might edit Network Manager to set IPv6 to 'Ignore;' please see attached.

    Frankly, I see nothing to fix here. Your logs look just fine.
