    Cool Regarding system hanging

    Helo Folks,

I am a regular user of UBUNTU and I had installed UBUNTU12.04 precise pangolin (LTS)

I am facing a problem of system hanging.

I do'nt know the reason why but I had some interesting observations

I have 4 processor system when my computer is running 3 or 4 processor at a time So often the system hangs.

even on a slightly provide a command to open LibreOffice writer.

    Please suggest What to do?

I try to open system monitor and press ctrl+alt+Del but the system remains in a hanged state only

The ultimate solution is to go for a restart

    Re: Regarding system hanging

Control Alt Delete does nothing outside Windows.

To restart the X server, press Alt-Printscreen-K.

However it sounds like your computer has bad RAM. Try taking one stick out, then see if you have the problem again. If you do, put it back in and take another stick out, test, until you find the bad RAM.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
