Hello, forum!
I'm new to ubuntu, and Linux in general. I just recently built a computer and booted 13.04 onto it, and it worked fine; the only caveat being that it was running on integrated graphics. When I added my GTX 680 and installed it's drivers, the computer seemed to function normally, but I soon found out that if I have just a couple windows open at once, or if I try to use the ubuntu file installer, it slows down tremendously and then freezes right before crashing. No amount of restarts has helped this. I tried switching out the proprietary drivers for the card, but that seemed like a loose end as It was getting me nowhere. If anybody has any advice it would be a great help.
