    wireless connection is unstable

i downloaded ubunto 12.04...windows 7 is also on the machine and running.
my wireless connection on ubunto is unstable. it will connect, then get slow, disconnect, connect etc.
the wireless usb adapter is netgear WG111v3. i probably did something wrong on installation, but not sure what it was.

i ran lsusb on the terminal ( since i saw that was a request in one of the postings ) and it is:

    Re: wireless connection is unstable

I doubt you messed up during installation, it's probably either your connection or the fact that you're connecting through a USB device. Is there any possible way you could plug directly into the router via Ethernet?
