I cannot boot my computer and the "Could not write bytes: broken pipe" message appears.
Some information:
Computer: dell with nvidia. Ubuntu 12.04LTS 64 bits
Disk /dev/sda: 640.1 GB, 640135028736 bytes

I've tried without any success.....
Through the recovery mode: Repair broken packages.
By Purging nvidia and re-installing it again
rm .Xauthoroty didn't work
I tried to use the nano editor (sudo nano -w) to delete a supossed failed var/lib/dpg/status and didn't know how....
At the moment, I'm using this live-cd to try to solve this.
