    Which version best for mac?

    Hello all

I have an early 2011 8,1 Macbook Pro 13 inch and I want to install ubuntu on it. I already tried 12.04 and 12.10 however I faced a problem with the WIFI drivers and never found a good fix or manual online. After googling, I found a post on some forum where someone said that Ubuntu 13.04 has a version released especially for MACs. I was looking for advice to see how other fellow mac users are running ubuntu and if anyone knows how to get the wifi driver to work properly on 12.10? I would appreciate any ideas.

    Regards

I recommend Ubuntu 12.04 or any *buntu 12.04 derivative (including Linux Mint 13 "Maya").

Regarding your wireless issue, I found reference on Linux Mint's community website, where a fellow Macbook Pro 8,1 user, who is using "Maya" refers to 3 links from the Ubuntu forums that helped him get his/her wireless working.

    The referring site:
