Unable to move music onto Ubuntu

I copied all my music from my Windows operating system onto an external hard drive. However, when I try to copy these files from the hard drive into My Music folder on Ubuntu 12.04 it says there is not enough space left. When I go onto my windows operating system there says there is 190 gb left of storage. Why is it giving me this alert and how can I fix it?

Windows is telling you how muc HD space you have left, but Ubuntu is going by the amount of space it has, which depends on how you partitioned your HD when you installed it. If you look at your music folder in Ubuntu how much space does it say you have?

    Is this a Wubi installation?
