Question Logitech Performance Mouse MX M950 (Drivers)

    Hi,

I have just switched to Ubuntu 13.04 and I am trying to see if there are specific drivers for the Logitech Performance Mouse MX M950.

I went to the logitech site but they only have hte drivers for windows & mac.

In general where is the best place to find drivers for your hardware for Ubuntu?

    Thanks

    Victor

The place you already checked -- the hardware vendor's site.

What you found is typical of working in Linux -- hardware vendor provides sophisticated drivers (and often, utilities) for MS Windows, but nothing for Linux.
Ubuntu 16.10 Mate, Mint 18 Mate; MS Win 8.1, MS Win10 Pro.
Will not respond to PM requests for support -- use the forums.

You shouldn't have to load any drivers for them.

I have the Logitech Performance Mouse MX...

All I had to do is plug in the Wireless Receiver and I started to use the Mouse and that was the same with the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750...

Both of these work with Ubuntu 13.04 and I was also using them with Ubuntu 12.10.

    Hi

While the left/right click and scroll work out of the box. How did you get the 3 side buttons to work?

When I go to System Settings \ Mouse & Touchpad there is no where for me to set those settings.

Also is there a place for me to see a list of the hardware the system has registered?

    Thanks

The forward and back buttons should be working.

The zoom button does not work but it is easier and quicker to use the Ctrl key with the Scroll Wheel to Zoom in and out.

I've had luck using Easystroke Gesture Recognition from the software center.
I've made the window button a hard return, and zoom is delete.
