    Error while upgrading

Hello! This is the first time I have had a problem with Ubuntu and I am stuck! I would love some help please. I am trying to do an upgrade to Ubuntu LTS 12.04 and everytime I try to upgrade to it I get the following error message:
W:Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/...se/Release.gpg Something wicked happened resolving 'us.archive.ubuntu.com:http' (-5 - No address associated with hostname)
, W:Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/di...ty/Release.gpg Something wicked happened resolving 'security.ubuntu.com:http' (-5 - No address associated with hostname)
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Help!! I am trying to upgrade and keep getting an error message!

What are you upgrading from? It can only be an End Of Life version. You can try going to Software Sources>Settings and choosing another mirror site. There may at present be issues with us.archive.ubuntu.com

    Regards.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.
