Hey, I'm having almost the same problem. I am able to boot into GRUB2 with my SecureBoot Disabled, but the screen blanks out after I choose any option in the GRUB2 bootloader. Nothing happens after that; the indicator on my pendrive also becomes steady. I tried leaving the system as is for as long as 7hrs (when I went off to sleep
), but nothing happened. It was the same blank screen. :/
I want to install Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail alongside my pre-installed OEM Windows 8 in (U)EFI mode. I think Boot-Repair is supposed to fix problems after the install of the OS. Can it fix such errors as blank screens when booting from a LiveUSB?
