    Question Startup/Shutdown screen defaults...

    Hi,
I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.04LTS, with Unity 2D (because my computer is rather old). As much as I like Unity, I wanted to be able to use something from time to time that's a little snappier with my old hardware, so I installed lubuntu-desktop as something lighter I could switch to now and again when I need to. However, this has changed my startup/shutdown screen from the Ubuntu default (the purple with orange loading dots one) to the blue Lubuntu one. How do I change it back?
    Thanks in advance for advice...

I believe I have found the answer - I didn't know what 'plymouth' was at first, but now that I do, this page has given some good advice: http://askubuntu.com/questions/13212...-splash-screen
