I have a server with a 10Gb Ethernet fibre card. Looks like this in lspci:
Code:
82:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82599EB 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+ Network Connection (rev 01)
lsmod shows ixbge is loaded.
Code:
user@host:~$ lsmod |grep -E 'ixgbe|mdio|igb|ioat|dca'
ioatdma 48178 48
ixgbe 184924 0
mdio 13808 1 ixgbe
igb 131190 0
dca 15233 3 ioatdma,ixgbe,igb
ifconfig sees the interfaces, one is configured:
Code:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 78:45:c4:aa:bb:bb
          inet addr:10.10.10.23 Bcast:10.10.10.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

The switch sees it's connected:
Code:
my-switch#show fiber-ports optical-transceiver

Temp - Internally measured transceiver temperatures.
Voltage - Internally measured supply voltage.
Current - Measured TX bias current.
Output Power - Measured optical output power relative to 1mW.
Input Power - Measured optical power received relative to 1mW.
 TX Fault - Transmitter fault.
 LOS - Loss of signal.
But it never comes up properly, never shows packets.
Code:

Do I need to recompile the intel driver? Is there a PPA with the latest driver? Is there something obvious I've missed? Any help appreciated.
