Many others did have audio issues, during testing.
It seems to center around whichever Linux kernel version you are using.
I would judge that the Linux 3.9 mainline kernel works best for most ppl, based on what I've read in the threads...
Intel ® P4 Extreme Edition 3.4 (Gallatin) || DFI ® LanParty PRO875B rev B1
Crucial ® Ballistix Tracer PC4000 1GB || Mountain Mods U2-UFO Opti-1203
XFX 7600GT 560M AGP (PV-T73A-UDF3) || Corsair HX520W Modular PSU
edit: well hmmm... I tried the kernel and even with the matching headers VirtualBox doesn't want to build. oh well, I'll see what happens

First image wallpaper: A photo of Mrs QIII many years back, cutting the rug at a ball, background replaced with the cloud effect. Sorry, there's a bezel correction line down the middle.
Second image wallpaper: Some photo I got off the web, cropped down, split in two and put on the two monitors. Sorry again for the bezel correction in the middle.

I decided to make the switch to Gnome Shell. My setup pretty vanilla, but I like how it works out of the box. Don't see a big need to customize it. I'll be keeping KDE on my work computer, though.
