    Wont shut down

I recently installed Ubuntu gnome 13.04 on my computer. But now sometimes my computer wont properly shut down, and i have to power it off manually. This often happens if i have been running my torrent program for a while. I get a message that swap wont disengage or something like that.

So far my solution has been to shut down via the terminal, using these two codes.

Sudo init 6 or Sudo init 0.

My computer is a Acer Predator G3610

I would really like this resolved so any help will be greatly appriciated.

When problems like this occur, sometimes the issue lies with the boot menu Check under power management settings to see if something needs to be set up differently.

Do you mean the boot menu in the system settings?
