    Anonymity on Ubuntu

Having just read a guide on how to stay more anonymous on a windows PC, I have a question:

How do I improve anonymity on Ubuntu?

An example I already know of is Tor, but I'd like to have some more thorough options if possible.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If you use Firefox, there are a number of tips in this thread, Privacy Addons For Firefox.

    SifGrey,

You might also consider the points raised in the various Ubuntu privacy statements.

Thank you very much for the suggestions so far. Is there anything which makes me more anonymous that is closer to the core of my PC? (i.e. Some program.. )

You can tweak the options in the system privacy settings. Also, there are many handy anonymity-related applications in the software center.

Ninjaondemand, would you be so kind as to give some by name? I typed "anonymity" into software centre's search and only got one result, TorChat.

It would indeed be nice if you could give names as I did a search as well and came upon the same results.
I'm looking for programs which would keep me anonymous to other users who could be trying to find out information about my computer remotely.

    Are there no more suggestions?
