    Inspiron 1525 problems

    Hello everybody.
Ok, I've been out for some time, and now I'm back, and with new problems.

I just installed 12.04 as Wubi in a Dell inspiron 1525, with W7, and, as usual, I have no wireless connection. How do I get the wireless to start working?
Besides that, how can I get rid of Unity, and go to the traditional mode?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Welcome back.

It sounds like you are determined to use both Windows and Buntu. Have you thought of a real dual-boot in stead of Wubi?

Thank you mörgæs, It's good to be back.

I actually would like to use only Ubuntu, but this is a borrowed computer from a friend, and he needs Windows, so I have to make do.
I can't wait to start using it, and forget that other "thing" is even in the drive...

Nevermind. Found the answer in another thread (which is what I should've done from the begginning, sorry).
How do I mark the thread as solved?

The 'nothing' from me was because I waited for your response to why it had to be Wubi and not dual boot. Probably the same applied to other users who visited the thread.

The solved-switch does not work for the time being, so I shall set it manually. Good luck.

    Re: Inspiron 1525 problems

    Thank you again.
It had to be wubi because I can't risk losing information in Windows that's not mine. I don't really know if that would be the case, but Ubuntuhas proven to be quirky in the past, and I'm not willing to awaken the beast this time.
Anyways, wubi seems to be working perfectly.
