How do you remove icons from lxpanel taskbar?

I would like to have just the text displayed in the taskbar panel applet. I'm not sure if this can be bee done, or be done easily. I have already tried to edit the .config file for lxpanel, and I can't seem to find a post that shows me how to accomplish what I want. Any and all help is very appreciated.

I am not sure if that can be done. Now the reverse (icons only) can be done.

There is also a guide to configuring the LXPanel.

Neither talk about configuring with text only. Sorry, That is the extent of my info. Perhaps someone else can add to that.

I have never encountered a panel that uses text without icons. However, you can install and load a Kornelix myStuff menu that allows for text only - see
