    12.04.2 / iptables / -j LOG No chain/target/match by that name

Somewhere along the way, iptables is no longer accepting the chain of LOG for the obvious purpose of logging.
I had read through some other blogs that modprobe ipt_LOG would get things working but it appears that "ipt_LOG" is not the correct module.
I have also tried ipt_ULOG but that does not seem to work, either.

Anyone out there having similar problems?

Here's what I'm trying and at one point it use to work on 12.04 but either 12.04.1 or 12.04.2 or some update somewhere ruined things.

    /sbin/iptables -I DROPLIST 1 -s 207.189.109.125 -j LOG --log-prefix "LOGDROP 207.189.109.125 :"
iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.

BTW, that's not my IP address and it's some darn spammer/hacker/bot, so I could care less if ya'll slam it.

    Re: 12.04.2 / iptables / -j LOG No chain/target/match by that name

As far as I know iptables in 12.04.2 works fine. Into a previously non-existant iptables rule set, I entered your exact command and it worked fine. Of course, I created the DROPLIST chain first, because otherwise I would get the exact same error.
    Code:
    doug@virt64-02:~$ sudo iptables -I DROPLIST 1 -s 207.189.109.125 -j LOG --log-prefix "LOGDROP 207.189.109.125"
iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.
    doug@virt64-02:~$ sudo iptables -N DROPLIST
    doug@virt64-02:~$ sudo iptables -I DROPLIST 1 -s 207.189.109.125 -j LOG --log-prefix "LOGDROP 207.189.109.125"
    doug@virt64-02:~$ sudo iptables -v -x -n -L

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 0 packets, 0 bytes)

    Chain DROPLIST (0 references)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination
           0 0 LOG all -- * * 207.189.109.125 0.0.0.0/0 LOG flags 0 level 4 prefix "LOGDROP 207.189.109.125"
