    Re: Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop what you are doing and shut down. The more you run your drive, the less likely you are to be able to recover your files.

Go to a different computer to download and burn a live data recovery CD with TestDisk or Photorec. Use that to recover your files, or what you can, to a different medium.

A thing discovered and kept to oneself must be discovered time and again by others. A thing discovered and shared with others need be discovered only the once.
This universe is crazy. I'm going back to my own.

I miss one thing here: How is „beta version“ here guilty of anything and what is it here to be blamed for?

Best recovery tool I've used: http://foremost.sourceforge.net/

This will resurrect files that were deleted 2 years ago.

It's a slow and painful process, and doesn't preserve the filenames, but it's enough to hang you in a court_of_law.

    Enough said? LoL!

Next time please use a more informative thread title.
Bringing old hardware back to life. About problems due to upgrading.
