    joining Ubuntu translation teams

    Hey,

I want to contribute to the IsiXhosa translation of Ubuntu. I applied for membership for the Ubuntu Xhosa Translators team on Launchpad, I also e-mailed the group owner as the team has no members (hence no administrators). It's been 3 days, I still haven't recieved a response.

What can I do to speed up the process?

    Regards

    Re: joining Ubuntu translation teams

I suspect that the team owner is no longer involved, since the karma is 0 and there is no recent activities.
My suggestion is for you to e-mail the "ubuntu translators coordinators" team, explaining your case. See this page: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-translations-coordinators where there is a team e-mail address.

    Hope this helps.

Try the mailing list for some help: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/lis...tu-translators
You should join the list before sending an e-mail to it, otherwise the e-mail will be held for approval by a moderator, and then nothing happens. (I just went through this two days ago, and had to join the list.)
