Talking How to know the compiler previously used for a shared library?

    Hello people,

I have the zlib as default with myu linux mint OS. But I am going to install a program that needs the zlib to have been compiled with a certain compiler... I look at synamtic to see the files asociated to zlib and there are just tooooo many so I dont want to uninstall it and install it witht the needed compiler, I first would like to know how to find out if it was already compiled with for example gfrotran, for ifort or gcc.... and then if now I would re compile and install the library....

MAy you please tell this newby how to do it ? XD
