Yes it's Alienware and that makes it more great! Fantastic indeed.
All we need now is for D3 and WoW to be ported to Ubuntu
This is indeed good news. The one manufacturer who's name is synonymous with PC gaming is now pushing Ubuntu. I guess Steam's push for Linux has made it's way to hardware. Now let's see if the likes of nVIDIA take note....
Thinkpad T430, Intel i5-3320M (Ivy), 8GB RAM, Intel HD 4000, 500GB HDD: Xubuntu 20.04 LTS 64bit
I will admit that I prefer using nVIDIA over AMD, but since I'm running the famed Optimus tech it still seems like nVIDA is slacking off. Thank goodness for the bumblebee project.
I'm not sure why I've almost instictively dismissed AMD, but it would be nice if they would step it up.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, isn't Alienware a division of Dell? Like Dewalt is a division of Black&Decker...

I would not touch ATI/AMD with a barge pole on Linux.
The price is good and I'm excited. With steam and now Alienware providing this type of system, very good news.
