    vmplayer on ubuntu 10-04 server

    Hello all,

I have had a look at vmplayer to install and tinker with on my Linux home server.
There is no GUI on my server and was wondering if this can be achieved as it seems theres no web based administration eg create VMs etc.
Most posts online show people have installed it running on a Linux gnome type environment but like I said - mine's just CLI

Does anyone know if this is possible? Or is a pretty GUI needed to run this application...

    Thanks

Instead of using VMware Player you could use VirtualBox.

VirtualBox can be installed on a headless server and then can be administrated using the command line, or with a web front end such as phpvirtualbox.
