Radio not working in 11.10. Found info on related kernel bug.

I have a HVR1600 TV tuner with FM radio. Have never been able to get the radio to output anything but noise. I just came across an IVTV post that indicates this is a kernel bug that affects several versions:

Not sure if this has been reported before so am reluctant to file a bug report. I will probably just move to 12.04 which looks to have a fixed kernel.

Should I report this? I am a little unclear on all the info they seem to want in the bug report but it also seems pretty clear this issue applies to 11.10.

If the problem is also found in 13.04 (beta) it would be great with a report.
