ghaaaa so frustrating, i cannot update my ubuntu packages since my uni recently blocked access to, i guess, the servers or something where the packages are hosted. my connection runs through a university proxy. it didnt used to be a problem before, but for some reason now i cant download packages. i dont have internet at home and i live in a country rated with the slowest internet in the world (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15273510) so even if i go to a cafe or something it takes hours to update. at least at uni it was relatively quick. is there a way around this?? i tried talking to the IT people. they were totally unhelpful. please help! thanks
