Other OSs on the chromebook cr-48?

I have an chromebook cr48 and I have ChrUbuntu on it. ChrUbuntu has all sorts of errors, so I want to install another OS on it. People are telling me crunch bang or arch. I'd like to hacintosh it using this guide but I think that would be above my pay grade: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/top...nventec-cr-48/


So could someone give me some advice? I need to have this computer working, because I'm going on a rode trip soon and I need to have a working computer.

What OS should I install? Is it worth it to hackentoch it?

I would suggest Crunchbang, or if you want to try, Debian. Arch is a little bit complicated to install though, if you don't know what you're doing.
