Bringing Canadian ordered lemu4 to the United Kingdom

I'm planning on moving to the United Kingdom in a few years, and am wondering what I would need to do or get to use my Canadian ordered lemu4 there. I know that the power outlets are different, so I would need to get a different power plug cable segment, but is there anything else (e.g an adaptor, or different floor wart cable segment) that I would need? Also, would it be possible to order any of the required items from System76? Thank you.

I took my US-bought Dell to the UK when I visited recently. Check the power adapter - mine works (automatically) from 110-240 volts and 50-60 Hz, so all I needed was a converter for the outlet.

You'll just need a BS 1363 to IEC C5 power lead like this one.

Thanks for the help. I checked my floor wart's sticker and it did indeed say that it was compatible with the lower voltage and frequency. All I need now is to get one of those power leads, which I can easily order for cheap it looks like.

One other related question for someone from System76: why is the UK power lead not for sale as an accessory on the website? Considering that they have UK customers and ship there, I would assume they'd be keeping power leads for them in stock (and vice-versa, for people coming to North America).

I'm not sure why we don't offer them as an accessory, but I'd bet it has to do with shipping charges.

I'd guess it would cost more in shipping and customs than the cost of the part - you can pick them up for £2 or so
