Greetings,

On Windows, I love foobar2000, and have been looking for an acceptable substitute on Linux (tried it in Wine but it has a couple of issues). I started a thread in Head-Fi this weekend to see if anyone could point me in the right direction. It was in vain.

Basically, I'm in need of an audio player that can do two things: gapless playback and library (preferably just a tree) browser.
I'd narrowed my choices down to two; but,
DeaDBeeF's library viewer is painfully lethargic (I'd be interested to hear if anyone's had a better experience with it), and
Quod Libet lacks gapless playback.

If anyone would like to recommend a music player that satisifies these two requirements, I'd be interested to hear back. Minimalist players are definitely a plus.

If not, I just installed a player called RhythmCat, but I have no idea what the command to launch it is. I'm on Lubuntu with tint2 and Openbox right-click menu, so it won't be in any menu for me.

Thanks for the help.
