Xubuntu using leafpad, sorry I did not see that you were using xubuntu, I always install gedit that is my preferred editor.
I am not exactly sure how you use leafpad but you have to make sure you save the file, exit then reboot.
Thanks

I even created that file in WinXP with Notepad on my USB Stick, put the latter into my Netbook but Linux doesn't allow me to copy it into said directory!
This is the command for xubuntu:
after you enter the command you need to enter your user password but it will not show in the terminal just hit enter fter you copy and paste the command.Code:gksudo leafpad /etc/pm/power.d/wireless
I have to go to the doctor be back in a few hours.
Thanks
What shall I do next?
Please try:
ThanksCode:sudo su echo options iwl3945 swcrypto=1 >> /etc/modprobe.d/iwl3945.conf
I think it doesn't work. But to be sure: how can I check wifi function when my Network Manager icon disappeared?
Remove the infotext file from your home folder and run the script again and post the results so we can see if it is connecting also see if you can load web pages.
Thanks
Voilà
