    Graphics Resolution too low

    Hi all,

everytime i boot up my ubuntu 12.04LTS my screen resolution gets reset to 1024x786 pixels
I have somehow managed to make the 1680x1050 option appear in my nvidia system settings with the wiki, but after a restart it will all be the same again. What do I have to edit to change the resolution to a permanent 1680px?
I have already looked at the xorg.conf file but wasn't sure what to change and didn't want to srew up anything so I just closed it again^^

I may copy the content of the xorg.conf here if it is of any help.

    Re: Graphics Resolution too low

I already saw those tutorials. I have edited my xorg.conf now, but the only thing that happened was that the option for the 1680x1050px disappeared from the nvidia system settings.

I'll go ahead and paste my xorg.conf here

    Code:
    # nvidia-settings: X configuration file generated by nvidia-settings
    # nvidia-settings: version 304.37 (buildd@roseapple) Sun Sep 9 05:59:38 UTC 2012

Search for a Xorg-edgers tutorial online and use that. You need the latest driver for the 650. Xorg-Edgers has it.
