ubuntu studio on mac pro 2006
Hi, I want to install ubuntu studio on a mac pro 2006. The machine does not have apple os on it and I cannot boot the 64 bit cd due to the mac pro efi being 32 bit. I have installed the 32 bit version of the raring beta and the drive is partitioned as hybrid efi gpt with a 500mb efi partition available at sda2 and a 500mb boot partition at sda3 with swap and sda4 holding the usual. Now that I have the system running, is it possible to convert it to 64 bit buy installing a generic 64bit kernel and libraries?
Many thanks in advance
Re: ubuntu studio on mac pro 2006
I've solved the problem. I used the ubuntu studio installation on usb and put plop boot manager in the cd tray.
