    Temperature 12.10

    Hi guys

i have an dell xps L502x with ubuntu 12.10
    I installed Bumblebee with it.
But my problem now is , that the temperature in my laptop is much hotter than it was on windows7.
I already tried Jupiter , did not do the trick.

so what can i do about this problem? and i recently saw on a website that nvidia is busy with making a optimus driver for linux but when will it get released?

    Greetings

i'm new to ubuntu so can someone plz help me?

    Is the fan actually running?
    Have you installed lm-sensors?
I have no idea if it'll work in your situation, but I solved the problem of my Acer netbook overheating by installing thinkfan.
This link may have some ideas for you.

    Re: Temperature 12.10

I think my fan runs only if temperatures get to high but not in idle.
In windows in didn't run in idle as well , as far as i know.
but in windows i stayed really cool in idle so i don't know what the problem is.

    I already have Lm-sensors installed
