Compaq Pesario c502us can't enable wifi

I recently insalled ubuntu 12.04 and all updates.. I was running vista. All of a sudden i cant use wifi. I cannot even get my wireless to turn on.. I have a compaq presario with 802.11bg wireless lan by broadcom.. Please any input..?..

Unless you have the exact same wireless device, WNA3100, I suggest you start your own new thread.

Regarding the problem, please post output of -

lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net

Enter above command in a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy-paste the output here.

Also, do you have a working wired connection on the system to download some small packages?
