Life is short; nobody has time to find out what's inside everyone, even if it is what actually matters.

Life is too short to make snap judgments.
As an existentialist, I know that existence comes before essence. Hence, each person's world is purely a manifestation of the conditions of his existence.
Take for instance, the expression "Is your glass half-full or half-empty?"
For me, my glass is neither half-full nor half-empty. It simply contains a measure of water equal to 50% of its nominal maximum volume.

A thing discovered and kept to oneself must be discovered time and again by others. A thing discovered and shared with others need be discovered only the once.
This universe is crazy. I'm going back to my own.
This is a question that sits fine in a contrived environment.
In the real world we have chaos - an infinite number of possible 'meeting' scenarios.
Where the first impression is gained from a momentary glance across a crowded room, to a workspace environment where meeting is thereafter constant.
If you see somebody that doesn't fit your bill, then you're not gonna seek them out.
If you work with them you're gonna get to know if like them or not.
So the required answer to the question changes, depending upon the environment, whether you match your presentation to the other parties desires, and whether you actually have inside you, what they are looking for.
But the real word answer, in most cases, is that after making a good first impression...... you've still got to follow through with 'who you are'.
Exceptions will be 'the con trick' - either malicious, or simply personal advancement beyond ones abilities.
These are basic facts of life, that we're all aware of.
Therefore one doesn't need to have studied existentialism to arrive at this answer.
Through the normal interactions of life we learn this.
