ezcap dc60+ issues

im new to ubuntu so i have no idea on how to get the ezcap to work, ive tried following several tutorials but i cant get it, i think i need a tutorial that is in simple easy to follow steps and i cant find drivers anywhere

im running 12.04lts and its a ezcap dc60+ device

as above is the ezcap dc60+ supported on ubuntu 12.04? if so do i just plug in and start recording?

if not is the a command i can run in terminal to get the drivers etc for it so i can record?

also what software is best to record with(gives the best quality)

ok im havins some trouble with my dc60+, i can get it to display a picture but it isnt good quality at all, no is it clear!


when i do lsusb i get this

Bus 001 Device 004: ID eb1a:2861 eMPIA Technology, Inc.


so i knnow it is the dc60+
but the quality is like this

does anyone know how to fix this before i chuck the whole thing out.

is there a better program to record on rather than vlc player?
