Installing Minecraft ModLoader 1.5 in Ubuntu

    Hello,

I recently got Ubuntu 12.10 running on my old desktop PC. I installed Minecraft on it after configuring graphic card driver and Java. Now I'm trying to install ModLoader 1.5 for Minecraft but I'm having some issues. I can't find the root directory of Minecraft (like in Windows it's %appdata%/.minecraft/bin).. I have followed some tutorials on google, none seem to worked. Please help me in this matter.

Also, I want to run some Minecraft applications (.exe) would that be possible? Thanks

To find the root directory of MC, go to your home folder, press Ctrl+H and then open .minecraft and then the bin folder.
You can't run .exe applications without WINE, although some might not even work with it. Most applications should be available as .jar file as well though, then you could open them.
