    Upgradation to Version 13.04

I am using Ubuntu version 12.10. Do I have to fresh install version 13.04 or my 12.10 version will automatically be updated?

When 13.04 is released later next month you will be asked if you wish to upgrade, it's up to you whether or not to accept.

It's always a good idea to have a full backup of your system before you upgrade, as although there shouldn't be any issues upgrading can sometimes result in a broken system.

(You should always have a backup anyway, there is just more chance for something to go wrong during an upgrade than during normal usage).

You can upgrade to it through update manager after it is released and presumably stable. As you appear to be a recent Ubuntu user, if 12.10 is working fine, I wouldn't bother with 13.04 for now as it is still testing and not released until late April.

    +1 to Cheesemill's post also.
