Mate: no window title bar using compiz

I've installed Mate on Ubuntu 12.10, using the ppa from mate-desktop.org.
It's working fine, but when I use compiz as window manager, I don't see a window title bar on applications like firefox, terminal, gnome games (mahjongg), compiz-settings manager.
On applications like thunderbird, libre-office, synaptic or rhythmbox, everything looks normal.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Did you open CompizConfig Settings Manager, navigate to Effects and make sure the 'Window Decoration' box was checked?
