How do I mark a thread [solved]?

I just posted the final description of the solution to my problem on one of my threads. When I went to the Thread Tools link to mark the thread [solved] I found only three options: show printable version; email this page; subscribe to this thread. What happened to the option "mark this thread [solved]"? How do I mark a thread solved now?

It's broken after the upgrade. See this link for workaround:

Question Re: How do I mark a thread [solved]?

I have a problem marking an older thread as SOLVED: Having upgraded to 12.04.1-LTS, AMD64 Edition, before I could catch satisfactory Replies for backporting Moonlight and Gecko Media Player from the in-development 12.02b2 Precise (to be 12.04.2-LTS, as of April 2013) to 10.04.4-LTS ("PPA's for Moonlight and Gecko Media Player," started 5 February 2012), I am unable to edit the first Post, so the workaround is not an option. Any estimate on an actual fix for the Thread Tools, as of 5 March 2013?

Re: How do I mark a thread [solved]?

    Hello!

In general, a thread needs to be marked solved manually for the moment. ETA for a fix is unknown.

Please see coffeecat's post in this thread.

However, an anti-spam measure now means that you may not edit posts more than 7 days old.

I have edited the subject to mark it solved.

Re: How do I mark a thread [solved]?

OK, works for me. I think an explanation of this should be posted at the top of the forum, as a sticky, at least until this is made more convenient (I won't say "solved").
