    Could you post the output of xinput list now with the digitizer working? While it may not tell us anything I'd love to get a handle on why the matches in xorg.conf.d weren't working.

    Thanks. lol It's been so long since I've looked at a xorg.conf setup I forgot xinput list will show the section identifiers like stylus and eraser. So that didn't get us anywhere.

    How else can we find the name I wonder? Don't think:

    cat /proc/bus/input/devices
    will work. Don't know where ttyS0 shows up in /proc.

    In the Wacom udev rules you showed the serial rule claimed the name would be ENV{NAME}="Serial Wacom Tablet". But why then didn't we get a match in xorg.conf.d? Unfortunately the udevadm attributes walk didn't list the name.

    I guess we just chalk it up to an issue with an early version of xorg.conf.d handling naming through a udev rule?
