    Question where is the terminal?

im using a live 12.04 LTS distro. something as basic as the terminal, i cant find it.
this has to be a problem, as basic a terminal is why do they hide it?
    thanks for any answers.

    Hi

Try typing terminal into the dash. Does that bring it up ?

Bear in mind that i am not currently using Ubuntu. I'm using a different variant.

    Kind regards

The easiest way would be pressing ctrl+alt+t
You can also open the dash (icon on the top left side), and search for 'terminal'

Once open, save to the launcher by right clicking the icon.
