    The ubuntu-wallpapers-raring package has just landed in testing, I think I've found myself a raring ringtail

    Also for anyone that uses Omploader as their image host I've hacked together a quick script to make posting images to the forums easier. It takes an image file as an argument, then uploads it to Omploader and returns the BB code needed for a quick copy and paste into a forum reply, for example...
    Code:
    rob@raring:~ omp screenshot.png
    [URL=http://ompldr.org/vaHR5cQ][IMG]http://ompldr.org/taHR5cQ[/IMG][/URL]
    rob@raring:~
    Feel free to use it if you want, just extract the files into your ~/bin directory and you should be ready to go. You'll need to install Ruby if you don't have it already, as the ompload script I call (written by the Omploader devs) has it as a dependency.

    Re: Magnificent March Screenshot Thread

    Despite my recent positive remarks about KDE, I've ran into quite a few frustrations that have driven me out of the KDE camp yet again. I am now happily on Gnome Shell and really, really starting to dig what I'm seeing here. I like how modular it is with plugging in all sorts of extensions, etc., and the fact out of the box it doesn't need much tinkering, whereas I spent countless hours tinkering with KDE and never had it feeling the exact way I truly wanted.

    Screenshot wise, nothing much to see here. Relatively fresh 12.10/Gnome 3.6 install.

    it's hard to see in the shot but the buttons are barely lighter than the window decor. they lighten when moused over.

    edit: my bad, in the metacity theme the buttons do disappear if the window is inactive.
