lubuntu 12.10 black screen terminal only (no graphics at all)

Hello, I'm a totally newbie on this, and I was attempting to install Lubuntu 12.10 for ppc on my dual 2ghz g5 mac. When installing everything will come as supposed , but when I boot into lubuntu...nothing just a black terminal screen. I tried the no video solution and nothing...I tried installing ubuntu desktop and nothing...so far I don't know what is wrong or what could have gone possible wrong with it:

How can I make this lubuntu thing to work, and by the way it doesn't boot normally to osx, I mean the lubuntu 12.10 that I have installed. I have to put the leopard disk on it and force the reboot like 3 times and finally boot on the installer CD (leopard) and erase the ubuntu partition.
I have an OSX extra hd 150gb and I'd like to have lubuntu or ubunto for ppc there.

I hope someone can help me.

Have you tried to boot Ubuntu using the nomodeset kernel command line parameter from grub ?

try clicking Ctl-Alt-F1 to see if you can get into terminal login screen instead of the GUI Desktop login screen
