Hi:
This article might help.
Installing Windows 8 in Ubuntu
http://askubuntu.com/questions/145205/installing-windows-8-in-ubuntu
It was the only article that I could find- Hope it helps

Devuan, MX Linux, Debian 12 & Slackware 15
Thanks, but it did nt work, either way
Good luck
My own experience is that I built an amd 8 core computer with 16gigs ram and I run Windows 8 in Virtualbox giving the guest 7 'cpus' and 8gig ram. This is an alternative for running a dual boot system, I guess though if you are after games even this setup would not be enough...
You think that's air you're breathing now?
The reason why you could not install Windows 8 from ubuntu 12.10 with the proposed ways may be that you did not do correctly or that the ways are not applicable to the situation of your PC.
Write concretely what you did and what you got such as error messages.
I think that some of them in the proposed URLs succeeded in installing windows after ubuntu is installed.

I have made some progress though, I deleted the ubuntu partition (which was the only one I had) and then tried booting the computer with the windows 8 disc in the optical drive. But it just freezes and the motherboard emblem, which it usually flashes up for a second then continues booting.
I tried D-BAN to erase my hard drive but it did'nt work???
Thanks in advance
I have found it is better to start with setting up windows first allowing for extra space at the end of the drive for Ubuntu. then install ubuntu and grub will setup the dual boot menu. however what i've seen of windows 8 it normally never really shuts down the computer (you never see the post screen) unless you force power it off, so that may be a huge issue with dual boot! good luck!
